Ruby-Mac Place Featured on the Cover of DJC Oregon

We're pleased to share that Ruby-Mac Place has been featured in the July 8, 2026 cover story of DJC Oregon (Daily Journal of Commerce), highlighting the launch of SEI Living, Self Enhancement Inc.'s new affordable homeownership initiative.

Titled "A Home Is Just the First Step," the article explores SEI Living's mission to expand affordable homeownership opportunities in Portland while pairing housing with the long-term support services that have been central to Self Enhancement Inc.'s work for more than four decades.

Propel Studio Architecture partnered with Green Canopy Node on the architectural design of Ruby-Mac Place, a 49-home all-electric community designed to achieve net-zero operational energy. The development includes a mix of townhomes, duplexes, and cottages that demonstrate how high-performance building design can support affordable homeownership for Portland families.

We are grateful to Self Enhancement Inc. for the opportunity to contribute to this important project and to Green Canopy Node for their collaboration throughout the design process.

As construction begins, we look forward to seeing the vision for Ruby-Mac Place become a vibrant new neighborhood that expands access to sustainable homeownership while creating lasting value for the community.
